Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall Taipei

For the last week i have been hard at work for a company in Taipei, i have now finished working for them and have 2 weeks left for sightseeing! I only had half to sightsee today because i had a Chinese lesson in the morning, i feel like i'm back at school. So i decided to go to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, i don't know much about Taiwanese history so i thought i'd give it a go.

Chiang Kai-Shek was the political and military leader of Taiwan from 1928 - 1931, and thats about all i know about him. The Memorial hall covers 240,000 square meters and is made of concrete and marble. I picked a bad day to go and take pictures of the memorial because it was a bit overcast and rainy; its just my luck, last week when i was working, every day was between 27 and 33 degrees Celsius with blue sky's. This week however, it is forecast to rain every day, typical...

I've had some great food while i've been here though, especially for my lunch during work, tonight i went to a restaurant and had Steamed orange duck and pate and then Roast pork Shank, not a very tradition Taiwanese meal but it was still good no the less. Tomorrow i'm planning on going to the Taipei Zoo, hopefully i will see my first panda!
